Terms of service

These are the terms Cooper is supplied under. Same rule as the privacy policy: written to be read, not filed. If something here is unclear, ask before you sign up rather than after.

Last updated: 19 August 2026

Who you are contracting with

Cooper is supplied by Alan Abdurrahman, a sole trader trading as CallCooper. CallCooper is not a registered company yet, so there is no company number or registered office to give you. If that changes we will name the company here.

Contact us at alan@callcooper.ai. That is the only contact address for this service.

These terms are for dealerships. They are a business-to-business agreement, so the consumer rights that apply when you buy something personally do not apply here.

What Cooper is

Cooper is an AI employee for your dealership. He answers calls, texts, WhatsApp messages and email; he qualifies buyers and books viewings; and he handles the work of getting a car ready to sell — arranging transport, servicing, MOT and valeting with your suppliers, and writing what he did into your DMS.

Cooper runs on a machine at your dealership. Your data stays on it. We hold maintenance access so we can keep him working, and nothing more.

We tune Cooper to your dealership — your stock, your prices, your hours, the way you talk to people. If you want him to say something differently, tell us and we will change it. You get one excellent Cooper adjusted at the edges, not a version built from scratch for you.

What you pay

You pay the monthly fee we agreed with you in writing before you started. It does not go up during a month you have already paid for, and we will not change it without telling you first — see Changing these terms.

Pilot pricing means what it says: if you joined as a pilot dealership, the price we agreed is locked in for as long as you keep the service running. If you cancel and come back later, it is at whatever the price is then.

We invoice monthly in advance and collect by direct debit.

Cancelling

It is rolling monthly. You can cancel any time, by email, and you do not have to give a reason. There is no minimum term, no notice period buried in here, and nothing auto-renews for a year.

When you cancel, Cooper keeps working to the end of the month you have paid for, and then stops. We do not refund months you have already paid.

At that point we switch Cooper off and remove our maintenance access. Your data was on your machine the whole time and stays there. We will tell you about anything of yours we still hold and delete it on request.

We can end the agreement too, with a month's notice, or immediately if you do not pay or if you use Cooper for something illegal. We would ring you before doing either.

What you are responsible for

Cooper works from what you give him, and acts in your name. That means:

  • Your stock and your prices. He quotes what is in your system. If the price in there is wrong, he will quote the wrong price.
  • Your rules. You set what he may agree to and what he must pass to a person. He follows them.
  • Your suppliers. Bookings he places with your garage, valeter or transporter are your bookings, on your account, on the terms you set. You are responsible for paying them, the same as if a member of your staff had rung.
  • Telling your customers. You decide how you tell people they are talking to an AI. We will help you word it, but it is your call and your obligation.
  • Keeping access to yourself. Do not hand Cooper's controls to anyone you would not hand your phone system to.

What Cooper will not do

These are limits in the product, not promises in a document. They are the same ones we say on the front page:

  • He does not invent a price. He quotes from your live stock and the rules you set, and he cannot discount.
  • He does not guess. When he is not sure, he takes the details and flags your team.
  • He does not discuss regulated finance. Those questions go to a person, every time.
  • He does not spend money outside the terms you set. Anything else comes to you first.
  • He does not hide anything. Calls are recorded, messages are logged, and it is all in your DMS.

Cooper is software with a language model inside it, and language models get things wrong. He is built to hand over rather than bluff, and the limits above exist because of it — but he is not infallible and you should not treat him as if he were. Check anything that matters, the same as you would with a new member of staff.

Your customers' data

Where we run Cooper for you, your dealership is the data controller for your customers' personal data and we are your processor. We only act on your instructions. That arrangement is set out in a written agreement between us, separate from these terms.

Cooper's conversations pass through the voice and AI platforms we use to run them. Their terms only allow them to run your conversations. Your customers' data is not sold, and it is not used to train shared models.

What this website does with data — as opposed to the product — is in the privacy and cookie policy.

Keeping the service running

We aim to keep Cooper answering around the clock, because that is the entire point of him. We are not promising a specific uptime figure, and we would rather say so than print a number we cannot stand behind at this stage.

Cooper depends on things outside our control: your internet connection, your phone provider, your DMS, and the voice and AI platforms underneath him. When one of those goes down, Cooper goes down with it. We will tell you what happened.

We will give you reasonable warning before planned maintenance that takes him offline.

Who owns what

Cooper — the software, the prompts, the way he works — stays ours. You are buying the use of him while you pay for him, not the thing itself.

Your data, your customers' data, your stock and your recordings stay yours. We do not use your dealership's data to train models we sell to anyone else.

If you tell us how to make Cooper better, we may act on it, and we do not owe you anything for that.

If something goes wrong

If Cooper causes you a loss because we got something wrong, we will put it right where we can. What we can be made to pay is capped at what you have paid us in the twelve months before it happened.

We are not liable for business you did not win, profit you did not make, or damage to your reputation.

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit.

Changing these terms

We may change these terms as the product changes. If a change matters to you — the price, what you are responsible for, how to cancel — we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not want it, cancel before then and nothing changes for you in the meantime.

Small corrections that do not affect what you get or what you pay we will just make, and update the date at the top.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute about them.

If we disagree about something, ring us first. Most things are a phone call, not a lawsuit.
